Our story
Not Italian‑inspired. Italian.
There is a difference between a bag that borrows an idea and a bag that comes from the place the idea was born. Florence has been perfecting leather since the Middle Ages, when tanners worked the banks of the Arno and the guilds set a standard the rest of Europe followed. That is not a marketing story. It is an address.
The Scuola del Cuoio
After the Second World War, Franciscan friars and Florentine leather families founded the Scuola del Cuoio, the Leather School, behind the basilica of Santa Croce, to teach returning orphans a trade that could feed them for life. Its workshops still run today. This is the tradition Tuscany Leather works within, and the tradition we bring to you.
Leather that becomes more yours
We sell vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather: hide tanned slowly with natural extracts rather than chemicals. It starts firm and a little formal, then softens to your hand, deepens in colour, and takes on a patina that no two owners share. A scratch is not a flaw; it is a year.
Made in Italy, made for Australia
We are an authorised Tuscany Leather reseller. Every piece is genuine, made in Italy, and shipped to Australian and New Zealand addresses with pricing in Australian dollars, so the only thing that crosses the border is the leather.
